Many if you have expressed how helpless you feel. I hope you know I feel helpless even being this close to it all so I do get it.

My dear friend, Scarlett has asked to set up a 'meal train' and although it feels unnecessary, I will accept the help. I do actually get hungry...but mostly when food is already in front of me. I can manage to 'prepare' toast so the meals, or whatever other 'assistance' you can think of will be welcome.

It's difficult to accept the help but know I would want to do something if I were on the other side of 'this'.

So, on behalf of Scarlett, and our family...

Hello Calgary friends of the Paterson's. Most of us are at a loss on how to help right now. Here is an easy solution, the meal train. Having friends provide meals right now allows the family to spend their time with Fraser at the Foothills. Click on the link and pick a day that works for you. Make a favourite meal and drop it off at the house. There will be a cooler at the door to put the food in if no one is home. I put a time between 4 and 6 pm but anytime works if using the cooler. Brooke has mentioned that she has a quarter side of beef in her freezer and if anyone would like to use up her beef in a recipe for them she would love for you to use it up. Also, and this is very important, NO CILANTRO, (it highly offends her taste buds!)

Please share this app with anyone that you know who would like to participate.

Yeah!!!!! You asked for help!!! And it does mean so much to be able to do something when you feel like us outside the family do. I'd do anything for you. Fraser need a kidney,? Part of my liver?? A lung....? It's his, although his chest would look rather lopsided if he had one of my lungs. I'm B+ blood type too!.

Point being, keep asking for what you need. Good practice for you, and it gives those who are invested in you guys the ability to release some angst. Laundry needs doing... dog walking... house cleaning..... snow shoveling..... Then you can progress into car washing, dog washing, small room painting, closet cleaning, garage cleaning.... just see how…
