How to find thingsā¦.
first get super distracted and try to do a whole bunch of things at once so you can lose something. š
Make yourself feel really dumb and beat yourself up a little because you canāt find the thing that should be easy to findā¦just remember the last time you used itā¦.
Look in the exact same spots about 10 times and move the papers differently each time.
Check every pocket and under the seats in the car at least 3x
Cry on the couch a bitā¦why not
As you go to sleep, keep thinking of all the exact same spots you have already checked at least 5xā¦
Wake up with an idea of one more spotā¦that youāve for sure checked 3x before but this time will be differentā¦.and VOILA! On the desk but stuck to the back of a piece of paper is my credit cardā¦.oi.
Sometimes sleep is all we need to find the quiet so our brain can sort itself out. While we sleep it can put all the files back in their proper āplaceā. Itās sometimes hard for me to trust my brain to āfileā things in the right spot. When I had Sprout my brain played tricks on me. I once saw a dog running down the mallā¦it existed only in my brain apparently. Funny in hindsight but not so sure it was to my friend or to Fraser who couldnāt seem to help meā¦.
So, when I lose things it feels a little bit āextraāā¦and now Iāve lost my person too. :/ Definitely feels a ābitā extra. Guess all the sadness wasnāt only about my credit cardā¦.
Xo, Brooke

Oh you can't let stuff know you are looking for it. It hides. I have determined if you look in the least likely place the thing would be, then it's there.
All you need to find now is a Hawaiian radio station, a towel, sun screen and "some tasty waves". You are old enough for that reference.
Ask for what you need. Breathe in that beautiful smelling air. Eat some chocolate covered macadamia nuts. Soooo good.
